Each person has their own history, but they are also part of a collective family history. Gramps is a program designed to create, with help, your own family tree and trace it.
Gramps can save different details of the life of each person in your family, such as the relation between family members, and places and events, so you can organize all the information and the searches are accurate. This program has different tools:
-Gramplete: This option is a table that helps monitor the progress of your investigation, offering a quick analysis of the saved data.
-People: This is a list of all the people you have saved in your records with dates of birth/death, and other basic information.
-Relationships: Summary of the active person's parents, siblings, spouse, and children.
-Families: Registration of all households with names of parents, with marital status and marriage dates.
-Descent: A graphical representation of the ancestry of all active people with photographs, date of birth, and death displayed.
-Events: A list of events in your records with names of place and location details.
-Geography: An interactive map display highlighting places associated with one person, a group, or all the people in your records.
-Sources: A list of all sources of reference in your records and the publication details.
-Citations: A list of all the references with citations in your records, with date, volume, and page.
-Repositories: Records that offer web addresses, physical addresses, or contact information.
-Objects: A list with preview thumbnails of all pictures, videos, and other media referenced in your records.
-Notes: A list of all the text notes, including records that provide a preview of the notes.
